The Skills & Safety Training class is coming up quickly. There are currently 19 people signed up and all requested times will be honored. The training will be held at Crystal River's Hunter's Park.  Please be prepared to get wet as you will capsize your boat and recover it as well as reenter your boat from the water. If you are a boat owner, please feel free to bring it for practice. It is a real advantage to learn these skills in the boat you will paddle.
Plan to arrive in time to enjoy a continental breakfast of muffins, fruit and juice. Unfortunately there is no option to have a coffee pot, so if you like, bring your own hot coffee. You'll need a few minutes to get PFDs on and equipment selected as well.  Bring a chair and watch your fellow kayakers practice too!
Payments must be received Wednesday April 15th by noon. Gary Brady and I will be in the lobby of Laurel Manor Rec Center Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to collect payments for both Skills & Safety training and the monthly paddle on the Ocklawaha river scheduled for April 22.
Please let me know if you have questions or must cancel. The cancellation policy requires a 48 hour notice to receive a refund. A 10% cancellation fee will apply.
