Local Guided Paddle Tour Opportunities

Lake Griffin State Park, on US 441 just north of Fruitland Park offers affordable guided day and night interpretative canoe and kayak tours through the Dead River Marsh.    These tours are approximately 1.5 hours in length and require no prior experience.  The tour price includes the kayaks (single and tandem sit-on-tops and canoes) as well as equipment. They are lead by state certified guides who are trained and experienced in explaining the flora and fauna as well the role that protected waters play in preserving our natural and cultural resources.

Our guides are volunteers, many of whom are current or past members of the Villages Canoe and Kayak Club, with extensive experience on area water.  Because tour dates are based on guides availability, please contact Lake Griffin State Park at 352.360.6760 for specifics on dates, times, prices and policies.

This is a great opportunity to experience a nearby area river and perhaps share this experience with friends and visiting guests.
